First Half


A duel that began with a lot of tension and pressure, as both teams needed to win this match at all costs to keep their playoff qualification hopes alive. In the clash of two French-speaking coaches, Stephane Auvray from Guadeloupe came out on top, but it was Tahiti United who were better in the goalless first half, captained by Tahiti national team player Teaonui Tehau.


Second Half


In the second half, with several substitutions made by the Guadeloupe coach of Bula FC, the striker and star of the night, Setareki Hughes, a Fiji national team player who started the game on the bench, entered the game. In the 71st minute, he scored the first goal, beating the Canadian goalkeeper, Gardner, and just 5 minutes later he scored again, this time with an assist from the team's and national team's star player, Roy Krishna.


Standings and next round


Bula FC returned to the top of the table with a spot in the next phase, finishing just 1 point away from the qualifying zone, and now faces South Island United on the 19th, while Tahiti United remains stuck second-to-last with little chance, and faces PNG Hekari on the 18th.
