First Half
A game that started with an early goal in the 15th minute by former Auckland City player David Yoo, who played in the last Club World Cup in June 2025. Just 10 minutes later, the young star from the Solomon Islands, playing at home in Honiara, increased the score for the New Zealand team, and that's how the first half ended.
Second Half
Just 10 minutes into the game, Thomas Dunn scored for the Fiji team, raising hopes of improving the score and securing a playoff spot. However, it was in stoppage time that everything changed, with Fiji's star player taking center stage and equalizing the game in stoppage time. Just when it seemed the game would end in a draw, Scott Wara turned the score around, securing third place in the standings.
