First Half
The first half began with an early goal from England's Cosgrove, putting the New Zealanders just 2 points behind leaders Newcastle Jets with a partial victory; however, Vanuatu's star player, Brian Kaltack, equalized for Adam Griffiths' team.
Second Half
The second half didn't take long for former Melbourne City striker Colakovski to score the winning goal away from home for the Australians, and shortly after the goal he received a yellow card, but it wasn't long before, in the 61st minute, an own goal by Sutton leveled the score again at the Go Media Stadium, frustrating the home team who were hoping for a victory in this game.
Standings and next round
Four points behind league leaders Newcastle, the team from the New Zealand capital now faces the tournament leaders away from home on March 14th, while Perth Glory, who still have little chance of a playoff spot, face Wellington Phoenix away from home on March 13th.
