Coach Michale Valkanis' team was slightly favored in the match, mainly due to Perth Glory's poor league position.
One of Perth Glory's stars, Adam Taggart, opened the scoring after just 19 minutes, but it didn't last until the 30th minute when Englishman Long equalized from the penalty spot, ending the first half with that score.
The second half began with a goal in the 50th minute by Samuel Klein, turning the game around for the visitors. After that, there were substitutions and yellow cards, but the victory came after a home defeat to the league leaders.
Adam Griffiths' team is in the play-off zone for the 2026 Australia Cup, while Brisbane Roar is third in the overall standings.
