First Half
The first half promised to be electrifying from the start, and that's exactly what it was, with Haris Zeb, the best young player in the last OFC Champions League, scoring in the 9th minute. However, the celebration didn't last long when Japanese player Uchida equalized for the Australians in the 18th minute, and then, in stoppage time, young Mikkola took the ball and converted to turn the game around before halftime.
Second Half
The second half started more electric and exciting than the first. Just 51 minutes in, young David Yoo, formerly of Auckland City, scored the equalizer for the New Zealand team. Shortly after, Niue international Jaylen Rodwell put the game ahead 3-2, leaving coach Cohadzic's team in a difficult position. Then, in the 69th minute, Jordan Swibel, who won the Man of the Match award, equalized for the Australians.

The Australian team is in second place and within the playoff zone, 3 points behind the first team outside the zone, and faces Bula FC on February 4th, while South Island United is in the first position outside the playoff zone and faces Solomon Kings, also on February 4th.
